B2B SaaS · File import
How to integrate WeTransform
into a B2B SaaS application?
Your customers send files in every format (CSV, Excel, PDF, XML, JSON), your system expects clean, structured data. WeTransform automates mapping, normalisation and validation with AI. I take care of the full integration: embed, rule configuration, custom Power Functions and connections to your systems.
The concrete problem
Why building your own file parser is rarely the right call
CSV, Excel, PDF, XML, JSON: every customer sends their own format, their own columns, their own approximations. Building a parser that covers every real case takes weeks, and every new customer reopens the work.
I spent 7 years at Sellermania connecting heterogeneous supplier feeds (CSV, XML, API) to an e-commerce system. I know the classic pitfalls of customer imports: encodings, optional columns, duplicates, silent errors.
WeTransform solves the generic mapping and validation problem with AI through its embedded solution. My role: configure the target correctly, write the business rules specific to your product, and connect everything to your systems.
My approach
How I handle the integration
Upstream connection
I connect your source systems: FTP, SFTP, URL polling, or a dedicated mailbox if your partners still send files by email.
Configuration & business rules
I define your target format (columns, types, constraints) and write your custom Power Functions: SIRET verification, address validation, CRM lookups, licence plate checks, or any other business API call.
Downstream handoff
I wire the WeTransform output to your ERP or backend via API or webhook, matching your internal data schema.
Method
Embed vs building it yourself
Embedding the SDK (@wetransform/core) or an iframe with a custom
domain takes four lines of code. The value isn't in the technical integration,
it's in getting the setup right from the start.
Building your own parser has a hidden cost: every new customer, every new format reopens the work. WeTransform pools that cost via AI, but it still needs to be configured by someone who knows both your product and the tool.
I handle everything end to end, in days rather than weeks.
